Sources

Actual research references, source categories and evidence standards used by Project Beigoma.

Primary game material

Original game text, controlled observations, graphics and supplied manual material form the foundation of the game research. Their role is recorded at the claim or entity level where available. The game databases retain game-specific identity so that an observation is not detached from the title it describes.

Not all evidence can be reproduced publicly. Private workbooks, unpublished drafts and commercial game binaries are not a public download library. A reference to original material identifies an evidence category; it does not grant redistribution rights.

Historical and secondary references

The references below are drawn from the existing history source registry. Museum interpretation helps explain the material and cultural history of tops; it is not a substitute for the original evidence behind every date. The Japan Spinning Top Museum itself qualifies some dates and identifications as provisional.

A source is assessed for the question it can answer. The project’s source notes flag limitations and conflicting wording rather than treating an institution’s entire page as equally authoritative. These references are an index, not a blanket endorsement or a license to reuse their images.

Original research and technical evidence

Project Beigoma’s original research includes structured game data analysis, relationship audits and controlled native-rendering validation. Public records summarize findings suitable for publication; detailed development evidence may remain private. A technical result should state what was tested and what remains uncertain.

The methodology page explains the validation process. This index intentionally avoids adding a generic bibliography of hardware documentation or tools whose use cannot be established from the reviewed material. Game-specific source records belong alongside the relevant database findings.

Conflicts, corrections and attribution

When evidence conflicts, source context and newer verified findings take priority over unsupported repetition. Unresolved questions remain unresolved. Missing numbers, uncertain identities and incomplete translation records are not repaired by guessing.

A useful correction identifies the page, the disputed statement and a source that directly supports the proposed change. Attribution identifies the creator or institution when verified; attribution alone is not permission. Please use the Contact page for the current arrangements for research and rights inquiries.

Public reference index

Links checked on 8 October 2026. These are the existing registry’s museum references for historical context; game-specific evidence is presented in the game databases.

Initial public release

Project information and game introductions are available in English and Turkish. The detailed catalogue, guides and community features are being prepared for a later release. References to the research database describe the project's work, rather than a complete catalogue currently available online.
